Government College Nahan, was established in 1963 to fulfill the demand of the peoples of the area for imparting higher and quality education to the aspirants. College is located on SH-2 at Naya Bazar Nahan city the Sirmaur district HQ, 01km from bus stand towards Soaln - Rajgarh. The adjoining towns are Solan 43km, Rajgarh 32km, Chandigarh 50km and Shimla the state capital 63km.
College offer Undergraduate courses in Arts, Science & Commerce streams and Postgraduate course in English, Economics & Political Science.
College has equipped and facilitates with high-tech educational infrastructure to meet the requisite standard and goals. Apart of that college emphasis on co-curricular activities includes competitions to shape the competitive edge to the students.

BA, BSc. and B.Com – 03 years.
Postgraduate:
The MA in English, Economics & Political Science. – 02 years.
Eligibility for Undergraduate:
The candidates, who have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized Board, are eligible.
Eligibility for Postgraduate:
Candidates, who possess graduation degree in Science, Commerce or Humanities stream with at least 50% aggregate marks, are eligible.
