Government Engineering College, Sundernagar, was established in 2006 for imparting the higher education as well to cater technocrats in the field of different Engineering streams. Engineering college earlier started its functioning with two courses temporarily in the building of Government Polytechnic College, Sundernagar a prestigious Institute in the state. Engineering college is the only engineering college being owned and run by the state government.
Government Engineering College is located at village Bhechhnadhar near Sundernagar, 2 Km away from NH-21 and 04km from Sundernagar city, 24km from district HQ Mandi. Collage offers the graduate courses in 05 Engineering streams.
Courses:
1. Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Mechanical Engineering.
2. Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Textile Engineering.
3. Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Civil Engineering.
4. Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Computer Engineering and
5. Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Electronics & Communication Engineering.
(All courses of 04 years duration and intake of 40 students each)
Eligibility:
The candidates, who have passed 10+2 Non-Medical or equivalent examination with 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized Board, are eligible.
