Government Polytechnic, Talwar - Jaisinghpur, was established in 1967 to fulfill the demand of the peoples of the area for imparting education / training in Polytechnics as well to cater the skilled Supervisors for Industries.
Polytechnic is located on SH-17 toward Sarkaghat at village Talwar - Jaisinghpur, 65km from district HQ Kangra and 33km short to Sarkaghat.
Polytechnic offer Diploma courses in 02 Polytechnic Engineering streams.
Polytechnic has equipped and facilitates the aspirants with high-tech educational infrastructure to meet the requisite standard and goals. Apart of that college emphasis on co-curricular activities includes competitions to shape the competitive edge to the students.
Courses:
Engineering Diploma of 03 years:
1. Diploma in Civil Engineering – 40 seats.
2. Diploma in Automobile Engineering – 40 seats.
Eligibility:
The candidates, who have passed Matric or equivalent examination with 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized Board, are eligible.
