Kanta Polytechnic, Chalwara, was established in 2009 to fulfill the demand of the peoples of the area for imparting education / training in Polytechnics as well to cater the skilled Supervisors for Engineering Industries.
Polytechnic is located at village Chalwara in Tehsil Jawali district Kangra, 85km from district H.Q. Dharamshala and 90km from Kangra.
Polytechnic offer Diploma courses in 05 Polytechnic Engineering streams.
Polytechnic has equipped and facilitates the aspirants with high-tech educational infrastructure to meet the requisite standard and goals. Apart of that college emphasis on co-curricular activities includes competitions to shape the competitive edge to the students.

Engineering Diploma of 03 years:
1. Diploma in Civil Engineering – 60 seats.
2. Diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering – 60 seats.
3. Diploma in Electrical Engineering – 60 seats.
4. Diploma in Computer Engineering – 60 seats.
5. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering – 60 seats.
Eligibility:
The candidates, who have passed Matric or equivalent examination with 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized Board, are eligible.
