Delhi Public school, Jhakri was established in 14th July 1994 with the students strength of 240 upto class VIII. DPS Jhakri is situated at the height of 1117 meters above sea level.Well connected with National Highway- 22.

Facilities at DPS Jhakri
The campus of DPS Jhakri is unique and situated in lofty snow caped and lush green rocky mountain ranges of Himalaya. There is a large playground and sports at Delhi Public school (DPS) Jhakri are mainly cricket, football, volleyball, swimming, skating,basketball, riding, taekwondo as well as aerobics and yoga. Several indoor sports are also there at DPS Jhakri such as table tennis, carom and chess.
There is a large auditorium where various functions and workshops are held, open theater is there for various educational films and shows, computer lab is well equipped, German lab, science lab as well as other educational facilities are present.
Hostel in Delhi Public school,Jhakri (DPS Jhakri ) is present and there is great discipline but homely environment with quality food from mess. Warden is there to take care of students.
Transport facility of DPS, Jhakri is present and have their own buses 40 buses for senior wings and 12 buses for junior wings covering almost whole area covering the of surrounding localities of Jhakri, Rampur Bushahr, Jeori and Kotla.
Academics of Delhi Public school, Jhakri
There are three well established stream at DPS, Jhakri, science, commerce and humanities. Apart from Hindi and English other languages like German, French and Sanskrit are also there after class 4th.
Result of DPS, Jhakri has always been outstanding and several achievements are there in the name of students of DPS, Jhakri. Many students achieved scholarship in unified cyber olympiad . Purna Prajapati and Mehak Raina of Class V stood II (cash prize-Rs.8000) & III (cash prize-Rs.5000) respectively in State Level Painting Competition (held on 14th Nov. 2010) and will now represent school for National Level Painting Competition . Delhi Public school Jhakri, believe in all round development of a student and is not limited to academic achievements. There are various workshop and seminars, meaningful assemblies, excursion tours and several events whole year including annual event. There are several clubs to develop social interaction like debating club, interact club, dramatics club, editorial clubs, quiz society, environment club, astronomy club, Maths club, I decide club, e-spice club etc.
