I believe ,Cricket has played some hand in overshadowing our national game Hockey to some extent , though it is also true that due to the constant down fall in the level of Hockey played by the players and the constant loss of the team, due to which the Indian Hockey ranking has suffered in the past many years is also one of the many stand out points for the games present state.
So cricket is not the only reason for the downfall of the national game.
Lack of management skills or poor management skills applied to handle the game on the national and the international level has also shown its effects.
Though steps are being taken to boost the National Game hockey by getting in more and more finances into the game, which is also facilitated by BCCI and various other sponserers has shown a ray of hope.
Lets just pray for our National game to achieve its Glory and status Back soon.
