Ankur, Bhakhra Dam had been on the ISI hit-list ever since 1971 war with Pakistan. Our security forces have never let their guards down.Terrorists can only cause minor damage. The Dams of such structural engineering can only be harmed by "Laser Guided Bunker Busting precision bombing" in a stealth Air Force operation. If ever that happens, that may be the doom's day for Pakistan. They are fully aware of the might and the striking capacity of Indian Air Force. I live just 15 km from Bhakhra Dam. In any case , owing to the topographical and geographical features, in case of a breach in the dam, Ropar(Panjab) onwards there will be no stopping of flood water right through Pakistan via NW of Firozpur. The gentle slope is towards Pakistan, you can well imagine the consequences. Population density in Pakistan around Satluj river is approximately 339037 per 100 Sq. KM. Relax buddy.

Thanks Ankur and Vivek, for taking interest in the matters of prime security of our nation. The 'minor damage 'was only a technical point used to explain the ramifications of such an attack. We all are gravely concerned about the security of our infrastructure.I am sure , the concerned authorities are doing their job pretty well.
Thanks and regards,
Shekhar Prashar
