Favourites of Himachal: Scandal Point, Shimla

This pograph is of the famous Scandal Point, Shimla. It is the place from where the road bifurcates to The Ridge and The Mall Road, Shimla. A policeman can usually be seen standing on this post in order to keep a check on the crowd, But as this picture was clicked on Sunday afternoon, it is vacant. It is believed that a scandal occurred during the British era at this particular point, after which it was named as ‘Scandal Point’.
