Shimla, one of the famous hill stations is considered to be the best tourist destination in India. Scenic beauty of Shimla attracts thousands of tourists all around the calendar from different parts of the nation and worldwide too. During winters, all the hotels are jam packed with the tourists,making the hotel owners earn handsome money. It is the cool and healthy environment, cleanliness of the place, rich culture and tradition of this place that people love visiting this place again and again.

The Mall Road, Shimla:
An illustrious spot of main Shimla. The Mall Road, Shimla is one of the longest open air malls in India. It is a 15 minutes trek from main bus stand Shimla to this fantastic Mall Road. Stepping into this(Mall Road) restricted vehicle area provides a great ease to enjoy roaming. A fantastic crowd of young and trendy guys and girls gives a complete foreign look to this place. Moreover there are some masterpieces of British era on either side of Mall Road, that too make this place catchy. Gaiety Theatre, Town Hall are few such buildings. Mall Road is the best place to hang out with friends and family members. There is long row of branded showrooms, coffee shops, restaurants where you can sit and enjoy.
The Ridge, Shimla:
Walking two minutes above the Mall Road takes us to the Ridge. A good crowd of tourists can be seen here enjoying the scenic view of mountains, clicking photographs, taking a adventurous ride of horses etc. Whatever may be the season here, whether summer or winter, ice-creams of Ridge are always in vogue. People love walking on the Ridge with chill ice-creams in their hands.A golden painted statue of, Mahatma Gandhi can be seen here, a tribute to 'Father of the Nation'. At the beginning of the Ridge stands tall, a yellow coloured magnificent catholic church of British era. Moreover, we have a State Library adjacent to Christ Church at Ridge, Shimla having a good collection of books. The best cinema theater in Shimla is also located just at the back of this church, known as Ritz Cineplex.
The Advanced Studies, Summerhill Shimla:
Moving a a few kilometers from the Mall Road takes us to the beautiful place called Summerhill, Shimla. Summerhill is the place where Himachal Pradesh University is situated. The masterpiece that adds stars to the beauty of this place is the Institute of Advanced Studies. It is building of British era. Advanced Studies was completed in 1888 as a Vicaregal lodge. This building has witnessed many historical events events. Many meetings related to the partition of India were held here in the presence of Mahatma Gandhi. Advanced Studies in Shimla also once served as the 'Rashtrapati Niwas'. The architectural work of the buildings here keeps the eyes wide open. The green view all around the buildings adds to the beauty.
