It has been seen that tourists are often cheated by coolies and guides. In order to protect tourists from such fraudulent people, Shimla police has provided few guidelines to the people visiting Shimla.
Shimla Police has provided certain tips which the tourists visiting Shimla
must take care of, so that they are not cheated and duped by few miscreants in the city. As the tourists are new to the Shimla city, it may happen that few people might take the advantage and take away their money, luggage or misguide them.
The tourists should keep in mind the following things as specified by the Shimla police:
1. If the tourists are taking any services form the
Shimla Coolie's
, they must check their token number and identity cards.
2. Packaged tours organized by coolie's and guides are not authorized.
3. Tourists visiting Shimla might be cheated with higher rates charged on services. So before taking the services from coolies and guides please confirm the rates fixed by the government.
4. In order to get the requisite and accurate information about tourism, contact the
Information Tourist Centres
Tuti Kandi, Railway Station,
Victory Tunnel
and Mall Road, Shimla.
5. Don't get misguided by such coolies and guides.
6. In case of any help required from the Shimla police, you can contact at the following number- 100, 0177-2812344, 2656535
