Mohit Chauhan one of the leading playback singers of the present era hail from the district Sirmour of Himachal. It is really a matter of great pride for all Himachalis that a son of this soil is rocking the nation with his melodious vocals.

Mohit Chauhan now days a big name in the field of playback singing , is the son of the pure land of the state of Himachal Pradesh . He belongs to a place called Nahan located in the Sirmaur distt. of the state of Himachal Pradesh.

He was earlier related to the band known as" Silk Route"(1996) , giving rise to two very famous albums namely "Boondein" and "Pehchaan".
though "Dooba-Dooba" was the song that became most famous among the masses and actually kick started his singing career.

He is also know for singing unconventional songs in his native language i.e "pahari", which surely potraits his love for his native land "Himachal".
Taking a leap forward , he then became a playback singer singing songs like "khoon chala" (rang de basanti), "gunchha ", "masakali"and many more.
He recently launche his new solo album known as "Fitoor", which is gaining success all around and got him a new name of "BABA_ji" .

Being a Mohit Chauhan die hard fan I wish God to give him great success in his career, and bless us with some more beautiful songs sung by him.
