Annual fair is organized in the Anni tehsil of kullu district in the month of May. Anni Mela acts as an excursion for the local people. Large number of people from the entire Kullu district come to witness Anni Mela.

As Himachal is known for hundreds of local deities, similarly Himachal is also famous for numerous fairs and festivals throughout the state. Anni is one of the Tehsil in the Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh. This portion of Kullu lies in the Outer Siraj area of Kullu. Tehsil Anni is locvated at a distance of about 120 kms from Shimla, 50 kms from Rampur and about 100kms from Banjar. Anni is famous for apple orchards, temples and other beautiful sacred places.

An annual fair is organized in the heart of Anni tehsil in the first week of month of May. The stage is set up in the main ground popularly known as Ranibela ground. This Anni fair is known as Anni Mela among the local masses. Anni Mela continues for a period of 2 to 3 days. These couple of days are the time of joy, celebrations, outing and shopping among the villagers. Anni Mela gathers a huge crowd from different villages that comes under Anni Tehsil and also from Rampur, Banjar, Shimla. The best part of Anni Mela is that all the prominent deities of the region like Shamshi Mahadev, Kungshi Devta, Paneue Nag, Binnani Devta etc come here. People come here to see and take blessings.

A huge stage is set for the various cultural programmes that rock the nights of this Anni Mela. Famous folk dancers and singers like Vicky Chauhan, Narendra Ranjan, Thakur Das Rathi are invited to entertain the people. Melodious and foot moving pahadi songs make the people to sing in chorus. Nati, the traditional folk dance of upper Himachalis makes the people dance on their feet. Several other programmes are also organized like lucky draw, cricket matches etc. Local people make the best of this opportunity and participate with full zeal in the various events. Dozens of stalls of food items, sweets, clothes, woolens, games can be seen all around. People from different parts of the country come and make stalls in Anni mela to make fast money.
