Famous personalities Anurag Thakur-Youth Icon of Himachal Pradesh

"Anurag thakur" is a name which needs no introduction. Anurag Thakur is one of the famous young politician and hot and happening personality, hails all the way from Hamirpur(H.P.). He is the son of himachal Pradesh's Chief Minister prof.Prem kumar dhumal.Mrs. Shefali Thakur, daughter of sh.Gulab singh Thakur(present P.W.D minister) , is the wife of Anurag Thakur. He was born on october24 1974.Anurag Thakur has completed his schooling from Dayanand model school,jalandhar.He did his graduation from Doaba college jalandhar. During his college time he was very good cricketer and he was also a active member of his college cricket team.

After completing his education Anurag Thakur decided to come back to Himachal Pradesh.He started contributing in many social activities,like sports, politics etc. He did a great job for Himachal Pradesh cricket board.For his great contribution, Anurag Thakur was elected as a President of Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association. He made it possible for himachal pradesh to make its identity on the world map. It became possible only because of Anurag's efforts that today Himachal Pradesh also has an International Cricket Stadium,situated in beautiful city Dharamshala and this brings a great pride for the state.His next achievement came in May 2008 poll, when Anurag Thakur was elected as a MP from Hamirpur constituency(Himchal Pradesh) as a candidate of Bhartiya Janta Party.In 2009 Anurag Thakur was elected as a manager of the Indian Cricket Team for ICC champions trophy held in South Africa. Due to his achievements,he can be consiered as a youth icon of Himachal Pradesh.He is doing a great job,so we all wish good luck to him for his future.
