Recently Oil and natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) found that natural gas and oil can be expected in the Kasauli region of Solan district. Gusan village in the Kasauli region is the key region where the natural oil and gas is expected. In order to discover natural oil and gas in Gusan village of Kasauli, ONGC department officers have been visiting this village and have done all the preparations to start the work.

The ONGC officials stated that the digging and excavations will be started soon, hopefully in the month of March, in th Gusan village of Kasauli. All the necessary equipments and machinery have reached the Gusan village. ONGC officials stated that prior they made a research in Gusan village and some clues of having natural oil under this region were found. Based on these clues ONGC is going to start its work in Gusan village in the search of natural oil and gas.

In order to start up with the digging work, ONGC officials have taken the land on lease from the local farmers of Gusan village, Kasauli for a period of three years. They will pay one lakh twenty thousand per ‘Bigha’ to the farmers. ONGC officials stated that a sum of about 50 to 60 crores will be spent in this work. If natural gas and oil is really found in this region, it will fetch handsome money to the state.
