Famous Rewalsar lake in District Mandi of Himachal Pradesh

Himachal Pradesh is a wonderful destination for the people who love to go across high green hills,sacred places,natural adventures,lakes,waterfalls etc. Himachal Pradesh has always been the first choice of the visitors who come here and enjoy thrilling experience of high moutains,a very close look of natural beauty,histories of different forts,temples.

There are so many lakes in Himachal Pradesh but there is one which is a very famous,is the Rewalsar lake. Rewalsar lake is situated at a distance of one hour(20 to 25km) journey form town Mandi. The height of Rewalsar lake from sea level is 1360 meters. Its all because of Rewalsar Lake's beauty which attracts the tourists and forces them to visit this famous place. There are many beliefs related to this lake. Some of them are of Hindu religion and some of them are about Buddhism. Beside the Rewalsar lake there are two or three Buddhist monasteries and three Hindu temples devoted to Lord krishna,Lord Shiva and Lord Lomesh. There is also one more interesting place near the Rewalsar lake i.e a small zoo. So on visiting Rewalsar lake, you can also go to see this small zoo and this will describe to you about the wildlife of Himachal Pradesh.
