Touism at Mandi

"Mandi",this city is one of the beautifull districts in Himachal Pradesh. Mandi is located on the banks of two beautifull and historical rivers of the state one is Beas and the other one is Suketi. Mandi is built in 1278 by Ban Sen of Sena dynasty, before that Mandi was a part of two states known as Mandi and Suketu.

Mandi is known as the most religious place in Himachal Pradesh. Mandi is surounded by over 83 historical temples like Panchvaktra, Ardhanarishwar, Triloknath and Bhutnath etc.Mandi also has very famous sites for trekking and angling like the Barot-Kullu trek and many oters also.

Bhutnath Temple in Mandi

Bhutnath Temple was built in 1527 AD by Raja Ajber Sen in the heart of Mandi town.Bhutnath Temple is a temple of Lord Shiva.In the month of Februry and March a very famous fair of Shivratri is celebrated and the whole country enjoy it.

Panch Vaktra Temple in Mandi

PanchVaktra temple is dedicated to five-faced image of Lord Shiva.PanchVaktra Temple has been declared as a National Heritage.

TrilokNath Temple in Mandi

TrilokNath Temple was built in 1520 AD by Sultan Devi, queen of Raja Ajber Sen.TrilokNath Temple is also dedicated to Lord Shiva as both of the above temples.Troloknath Temple is famous for its architecture and beautiful idols of Narda and Sharda.

Adventure Sports at Mandi

Barot a very beeautifull place located at a distence of 40km from Mandi.Tourists can trek through Barot to Kullu and can take a full enjoy of Trekking.

To Reach Mandi by Air: The nearest airport located at a distance of 60 km from Mandi at Bhuntar in Distt. Kullu.Many regular flights are available to Delhi,Chandigarh and Shimla.

To Reach Mandi by Train: The nearest narrow gauge railhead located at a distance of 55 km from Mandi is at Jogindernagar and he nearest broad gauge railway station is at Pathankot, 210 km from Mandi.Kirtpur is another good option to get a train, Kirtpur railway stattion is at a distence of 130km from Mandi.

To Reach Mandi by Road: Mandi is located at a national highway 20 which is well known as Chandigarh-Manali highway.

Mandi is at a distance of 454km from Delhi.
