The Govind Sagar Lake is man made reservoir in distt. Bilaspur,Himachal Pradesh.It is 90 km long.It is over Sutlej river.

The Govind sagar lake is in distt. Bilaspur,Himachal Pradesh. Govind Sagar Lake is a man made reservoir.Govind Sagar Lake is result due to the Bhakra Dam on river Sutlej. Govind Sagar Lake is 90 km long.

To maintain the level of water the flow of river Beas is channeled to Govind Sagar by the Beas-Sutlej link ,which was completed in 1976.In the month of October and November when the water level of the Govind Sagar Lake is high,a series of events are oragnized by Tourism and Civil Aviation department such as water skiing,kayaking and water scooter racing.Boating facilities are also available in Govind sagar lake.Fishing is commonly practised in Govind sagar lake.
