The Beas river Rohtang pass Manali,Himachal Pradesh

The Beas river originates in Rohtang pass of the Manali in central Himachal Pradesh . River Beas runs for a distance of 470 kms and then unites in river Sutlej.

The attraction of the river Beas has been so great that whoever came here,remained to stay.The great sages Narad,Vashist,Vishwamitra,Vyas,Prasher and Parshuram came here on different occasions and meditated on the banks of river Beas.

The world famous tourist resort of Manali is situated on the right bank of the river Beas.The Pandoh Dam is also situated on this river.The Beas river orignated from The Rohtang Pass and then it passes through Manali and Kullu.At Pandoh Dam the Beas river is unites with Sutlej river.
