Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal is a Hon'ble minister of Himachal Pradesh. He is a candidate of Bhartiya Janta Party of Bamsan constituency of distt. Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh.

Professor Prem Kumar Dhumal is the current chief minister of Himachal Pradesh (2010). Professor Prem Kumar Dhumal is a candidate of Bhatiya Janta party of Bamsan constituency of distt. Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh. Professor Dhumal was born on 10/04/1944 to Capt. Mahant Ram and Smt. Phulmu Devi in Samirpur village of distt. Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh. He is married to Smt. Sheela Dhumal. He has two sons Anurag and Arun,Anurag is MP and President of HPCA. Prof. Dhumal has started his career as an assistant in Life insurance corporation of India. He has done post graduation in English and degree in law.

After some time he opted the teaching profession. He spent his time in teaching in different colleges such as Punjabi Univeristy Evening college Jalandhar, Doaba college Jalndhar city. Along with his teaching profession he was also studying the facts of politics. He started his politics career as a simple worker. After working as a simple worker ,he became president of state BJP party in 1993. He has been three times MP and three time MLA.

The year of 1998 brought a lot of happiness for him, As he was elected as a Chief minister of Himachal Pradesh for the very first time. After this opportunity he never looked back, and in present time he is also serving as a Chief minister of Himachal Pradesh. According to him motto of his life is to provide better education, self-employment, better road , industrialization and self-independence. He has spread a net of roads in the state. He has started many new hydro-projects in the state. He brought many industrialist into state and gave them opportunity to set up their plants in different parts of Himachal Pradesh. In present era Baddi (solan) is the industrial hub of Himachal Pradesh. All this could become possible only because of efforts of Professor Dhumal. We pray for his long life and god bless him.
