Paragpur- 'The first Heritage Village of India' in Himachal Pradesh

Paragpur village is in district Kangra of Himachal Pradesh. Paragpur village is the oldest village of Himachal Pradesh. Paragpur village is also the first 'Heritage Village' of India. The name of Paragpur village was named after Princess 'Parag' who revolted against the Mughal's empire. Paragpur village was ruled by Mughals as well as Britishers but this 'Heritage Village' sustained its culture throughout this process.

There were also some famous personalities who hailed from Paragpur-'The famous and oldest village of Himachal Pradesh'. Justice Sir Jai Lal who belonged to Paragpur village was the only second Indian who remained the Chief Justice of Punjab High Court during British rule. Justice Sir Sadhi Lal also from Paragpur village was the first Justice from India as well as Himachal who was also the member of Privy Council of British government.' Judges Court' located in Paragpur village was built by Justice Sir Jai Lal in the year 1918 is now a famous tourist resort and is centre of attraction to thousands of visitors. Thousands of foreigners visit Paragpur village and also there are so many foreigner writers who have wriiten articles about Paragpur village-'Heritage village of Himachal and India' in their books.
