Himachal Pradesh is a beautiful place. It is a hilly state though it has some plain areas. It is a land of hills and deep valleys. Shimla is the capital city. Himachal Pradesh has in total twelve districts. Most of the Himachalis live in villages. People of Himachal are simple and hard working. It is a land of temples and God, so its called the "Devbhoomi". Himachal is a land of fairs and festival. It has cool and pleasant climates. Shimla and Manali are tourist' paradise. People come here for a change. Himachal has developed industrially over the last few years and maximum industrial growth can be seen in the Baddi region of Solan district. Baddi has turned out to be the Industrial hub of Himachal Pradesh . Sh. P.K. Dhumal is the chief minister of the Himachal Pradesh and Mrs. Prabha Rao is the governer of Himachal Pradesh. Apple is the main fruit crop of Himachal Pradesh. Hydro-eletric project in Himachal Pradesh also earns a good revenue to the state.

The fresh air and beauty of the hills attract the peoples to come out the Shimla again and again. There are many temples in Shimla like Jakhu mandir, Kalibari mandir, Sankatmochan, Tara Devi temple and Maahunagh temple.
