Brief Introduction of Rohru:

If we talk of real 'Pahari Culture', then Rohru tehsil of Shimla district gains the top priority. Rohru is situated at a distance of about 115 kms from the main Shimla. Rohru is situated at a height of 1550 metres from seal level and is situated on the bank of Pabbar River.

Rohru is famous for its famous temples like Hateshwari Mata in Hatkoti, local deities and beautiful villages located amidst the green apple orchards. Temple of Shikdu devta in Rohru is the main attraction in Rohru where you get to know the Pahari culture even better. Most famous hotel in Rohru is the Chanshal Hotel which is named after the Chanshal Peak in Rohru located at a chilling height of 4520 meters. Chanshal Peak in Rohru is popular for trekking.
