Khajjiar Lake in Chamba- Mini Switzerland of India

Picturesque Khajjiar Lake is in Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh. For its beauty Khajjiar Lake is also known as 'Mini Switzerland' of India. Khajjiar Lake is named after Khajjinag whose temple is also present here.

Khajjiar Lake is present approximately at height of 1900 m above sea level. Khajjiar Lake is named 'Mini Switzeland' in the year 1992 by envoy from Switzerland Willy P. Blazer. Khajjiar lake is among the most beautiful and attractive places in Chamba.

The length of Khajjiar lake is approximately 1.5 km while the width of Khajjiar Lake is about 1km. Deodar tree in the surrounding of Khajjiar Lake adds four star to its beauty. Charismatic view of Khajjiar Lake is always the centre of attraction for photographers.
