To get acquainted with the real Himachali culture, fairs and festivals in various parts of Himachal play a vital role. Himachal fairs and festivals reveal the actual 'Pahari Culture', as they have been celebrated since years and with old traditions.

Famous State-Level fairs and Festivals of Himachal are:

1. Kullu Dusshehra: Dushhera celebrations in Kullu are internationally famous. Hundredrds of local deities get together at the Kullu ground during Kullu Dusshehra. The famous Kyllu Dusshehra is not only witnessed by local residents but also by various foreign visitors.

8. Chainchu Mela, Rewalsar: Beautiful Rewalsar in Mandi district of Himachal celebrates the famous Chainchu fair every year.

9. Kaleshwar Mela, Jwalamukhi: Kaleshwar Fair is celebrated in the Jwalamukhi region of Kangra district.

10. Summer Festival, Dharamshala: Dharamshala also celebrates the famous Summer Festival.

12. Renuka Mela, Sirmaur: As a tribute to holy Renuka lake in Sirmaur district, Renuka Fair is celebrated every year.

13. Shoolini Fair, Solan: In the name of goddess 'Shoolini', famous Shoolini fair is organized in district Solan.

14. Shivaratri, Baijnath: Famous Shivz temple in Baijnath makes it a place of Lord Shiva. As a result Shivaratri of Baijnath is very popular.
