Next is the Shilaru Hockey ground in Distt. Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. It was inaugurated on 25th of May,2010.

Introduction to Shilaru Hockey Groud in Shimla

It is a matter of great pride for sports of Himachal Pradesh and specially for our national game Hockey that Himachal Pradesh government is taking some incredible steps in the field of sports. The results are now there in front of you people. First is The international cricket ground at Dharamshala which is the gift of HPCA to Himachal Pradesh. Next is the Shilaru Hockey ground in Distt. Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. It was inaugurated on 25th of May,2010. This ground is under care of Sai Sport Authority Of India. One more interesting thing about this ground is that it is Asia's first ground, located at such a high altitude. This ground is at a run of 2 hours(50-55km) from Queen of hills Shimla, on Narkanda road.
