Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports Golden Jubilee in September 2011

One of the nationally famous institutes for mountaineering and adventure sports in Himachal, Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports in Manali will complete its 50 years in September, 2011. As such the institute is going to celebrate its Golden Jubilee in the year 2011. Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports has trained many skilled mountaineers who have successfully climbed the highest peak in the world, Mt. Everest. Success of people trained from this instate has brought recognition to it globally.

Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports was one of the beginning institutes in Himachal Pradesh that offered training for mountaineering and various other adventure sports. Till now estimates have shown that the institute has successfully trained about 1.20 lakh people in mountaineering and other adventure sports. Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports in Manali has also hosted variety of national and international winter sports competitions.

In order to make the Golden Jubilee of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports a fantastic one in September, 2011, various adventure sports events and programmes are going to be organized such as mountaineering, skiing, water sports, rap ling, roc climbing, trekking etc in various regions of Kinnaur, Kullu, Chamba and Shimla.
