37th National Sub Junior Basketball Tournament in Kangra

It's matter of pride for all Himachalis as district Kangra of Himachal Pradesh is going to host 37th IMG Sub-Junior Reliance National Basketball Tournament from September 24th,2010. 48 teams from 24 different states of India will participate in this national level basketball competition. President of Himachal Pradesh Basketball Association Mr. Munish Sharma told that the teams from Uttarakhand and Assam will not participate because of heavy rainfall in these two states.

Jai Ram Thakur will be the chief guest in the opening ceremony of this tournament. Teams from different states of India will reach Kangra on September 24th. Kangra is going to host National Basketball tournament for the second time as previous one was hosted by Kangra in the year 2003. Teams can do their practice in the Basketball Court of GAV Senior Secondary Public School. This tournament will last for seven days.
