Commando Training School for Himachal Police soon to be established!

Centre government has urged on the need of having two companies of commandos in every battalion. As such, Himachal Police has decided to open a Commando Training School at Jangalberi to provide training to its police officers. Jangalberi is the headquarters of Fourth Reserve Batallion. Jangalberi is considered most appropriate for Commando Training School, as Jangalberi is the headquarters of six reserve battalions of Himachal Pradesh.

Moreover Jangalberi has wide area and other facilities to be provided for training.
Himachal Police has already sent a proposal regarding Commando Training School to Himachal govt. It has been alleged that all the arrangements and facilities will be provided within a span of one year to open a Commando Training School at Jangalberi. Also, a sum of 6 crore will be provided by centre for training of each battalion.
