Himachali's have always been showing their mettle in diversified fields whether it be education, sports or entertainment. In a yet another achievement, a renowned personality from Himachal Pradesh in Hindi literature, Dr. Methli Prasad Bhardwaj was 'Honoured for Excellence' by Haryana Government for his remarkable contributions in Hindi literature.

Dr. Methli Prasad belongs to the Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh. For his excellent work in Hindi literature, Dr. Methli Prasad Bhardwaj was given a cash prize of Rs. 1.5 lakhs and a citation for his works on middle age Hindi literature and Sufi aspect. Dr. Methli PrasadBhardwaj has served as the Head of the department (HOD) of Hindi in Punjab University, Chandigarh. During his service as HOD, Dr. Methli Prasad Bhardwaj did excellent work in Hindi literature.
