Ahoi Ashtami is a fast which is kept for the safety of the children by their mothers.

Ahoi Ashtami is a famous fast kept by mothers for the safety and wellbeing of their children.This fast is quite popular in Uttar Pradesh , Uttrakhand , Delhi and is getting popular in lower belt of Himachal also.Ahoi mata is worshipped on this day.This year the fast is on 30th oct.2010.Sweet malpuas are made on this day.
