Kullu is the one of the most famous district of Himachal Pradesh and it is situated at an altitude of 1219 meters. This district is also known as Valley's of God. Kullu is a district recognized in 1963 by Himachal government. The first airport of Himachal Pradesh was built in first time at Kullu district in Bhuntar. Bhuntar is 10kms from Kullu district. The climate of Kullu district is very cold in winter season but in summer days the maximum temperature of Kullu is reached to 34 degree Celsius. The average of rainfall in Kullu district is 85cm. In winter season most parts of Kullu district are covered by snow. Kullu district is situated inside the bank of Beas River. There are many temples and tourist spots in Kullu district. Manali: Manali is the famous tourist place of Himachal Pradesh. It is situated at an altitude of 1950 meters. Manali is the most attractive tourist place of Kullu and Himachal Pradesh. Manali is 45kms from Kullu. Some parts of Manali are covered by snow in all over year. There are many famous hotels and cottage in Manali to stay there.

Manikaran: Manikaran situated in Pārbati valleys. In Manikaran there are large quantities of hot water springs are found. There is a most important thing of Manikaran is famous Gurudwara temple of Manikaran. This Gurudwara situate inside the Parbati River.

Raghunath (Rama) temple: Raghunath (Rama) temple is the famous temple of Kullu district. This temple was built by Raja Jagat Singh, the king of Ayodhya. This temple was built in the year of 1651. Festival of Kullu district


Dusshera is the one of the most famous festival of Kullu district and Himachal Pradesh. It is famous international festival. This festival held for three days. There is a great rush in this festival. In this festival people took up 200 'Jhankias' of God. There are many culture and folk dance performances you can see in this festival at night. There are many celebrities are invited by Himachal government to take part in this festival and they performs at night their culture dance.

How to reach in Kullu district


Kullu is a best tourist place which is also easily accessible by road and air. There are direct route you can find the Kullu bus stand to Delhi, Chandigarh, Bilaspur, Sundernagar and Manali. Chandigarh is 270 kms from Kullu and Shimla is 235kms from Kullu.
By Bus: There are many buses which have direct route from Kullu to Delhi, Chandigarh, Shimla and Bilaspur.
By Air: The national airport you can found in Kullu district in Bhuntar. Bhuntar ios 10kms from Kullu.
