Only tunnel of Hamirpur(as on 28/10/10)

In distt. Hamirpur of Himachal Pradesh there is only one tunnel which is 5 km from Sujanpur on road to Mehalru.

Himachal has many tunnels, some are for road traffic and others are for railways.103 tunnels on Shimla-Kalka train route are already very famous.Larji tunnel in Kullu is also famous.Rohtang tunnel is under construction and will link Manali to Lahaul valley.Hamirpur also has a tunnel.This tunnel is on Sujanpur-Mehalru link road,5km from Sujanpur.It is 25m long 10m high.It is situated in a very serene environment near Mehali rivulet.This rivulet meets river Beas near Baghera.

never knew about the Tunnel near Sujanpur. We will try and visit Baghera when we go to Sujanpur next time. Thanks for this post.
