Jahu is a small town located in Hamirpur district. The border of three districts Hamirpur, Bilaspur and Mandi touches Jahu. It is situated on the bank of Shree Khad. Shree Khad covers a larger area of Jahu. There are many interesting places to visit in Jahu. The small town is relatively a plane area and is a famous spot for the shoppers. Jahu markrt is known for variety of articles at very reasonable rates.

Jahu is famous for small scale industries. There are Snow factories and fishery industry in Jahu. The Snow Factories in Jahu are located on the bank of Shree Khad and in the main market road. Fishery is the major source of income for people in Jahu. Variety of Fish are sold in the Fish Market in Jahu and people from the surrounding areas rush to Jahu Fish market to buy fish.

There are many famous schools are situated in Jahu. They are situated in the bank of Jahu. Green valley school is the famous school of Jahu. This school is affiliated by Himachal Pradesh Board of Dharamshala. The education and teachers of this school is very well. They provide many facilities for children like transport facility.
