About Laxmi Narayan Temple


Laxmi Narayan temple is one of the famous temples of Himachal Pradesh. It is located in Chamba district. This is the ancient and largest temple of the Chamba district. It is situated at the top of hill. It is the beautiful temple of the Chamba. During winter season this temple was covered by snow and Laxmi Narayan temple is the temple of Lord Shiva and six other temples which located inside the Laxmi Narayan temple is related with Lord Shiva and Shri Vishnu. It is the beautiful temple of the Chamba district. The entrance gate of this temple is made by the big poll. This is the largest temple of the Himachal Pradesh.

History of Laxmi Narayan Temple


This temple was built in 10th century and this temple decorates by Rajas of Chamba by time to time. This temple was built by Balabadhra Verma and this temple contributes by Raja Chhatras Singh. The Aurangzeb who was the emperor of Mugal Samrajay had decided to destroy this temple but the king's of Chamba district against for him. Aurangzeb all do her power to destroy this temple but the kings of the Chamba district nothing to do to Aurangzeb.
