KEYLONG in Himachal
Keylong is located at height of 3350 m above sea level. The small hilly town Keylong is the headquarters of Lahaul and Spiti district of Himachal.
Reaching Kelong – Kelong is around 115 Km by road from Manali. It is about 188 km from Kaza, 373 km from Leh, 435 km from Chandigarh and 690 km from Delhi.
From Manali take the route of Rohtang Pass (3980 ml), After crossing Rohtang Pass you will reach Koksar, which is the 1st village of Lahaul, then Sissu, Gondla and after crossing the river Chandra Bhaga at Tandi you will reach the mesmerizing Keylong.
The route to Leh and Keylong is closed during winters due to heavy winter snows and the region becomes cut off from other parts of the state for six months. The route is open from June to November.
Frequent Buses, Taxis are available from Manali to Keylong. Buses ply between Manali and Leh via Keylong.
