The 62nd Republic Day Parade on 26th January 2011 ended after a great and spectacular show of India's ever growing Defense Power and rich culture and heritage.

The President of Indonesia was the chief guest for the 62nd Republic Day Parade on 26th January 2011.

The parade by various regiments of Army, Air Force and Navy was breathtaking. The spectators were mesmerized, delighted and felt proud to see the latest version of Fighter tanks, Missiles and latest fighter jets like Sukhoi.

No Jhanki from Himachal in 62nd Republic Day Parade on 26th January 2011


People of Himachal all over India and in Himachal watching Live the ceremony of 62nd Republic day were anxious to see Jhanki of their state but to their surprise there was no Jhanki from Himachal Pradesh.

There were jhankis from Odissa, Assam, Tripura, Bihar, Kerala and many other states. The spectators however were amazed to see the culture of different states.

The theme of the Jhanki from our neighbouring state Punjab was Mehendi especially bridal Mehendi. The Punjabi music and dance was cherished by all.
