Q1. Discuss management as a system bringing out its basic features as such. How does system approach of management differ from contingency approach? [20]

Q2. What are the basic elements of Decision-Making? Explain the role of creativity in decision- making. [20]

Q3. Describe the key factors in designing organisation structure. What are the specific ways to determine what kind of structure is needed to attain the objective of given business? [20]

Q4. Discuss the major theoretical explanations for the group formation. Which explanation is more relevant to the study of organisational behaviour, and why?

Q5. Explain the major assumptions and implications of Theory X and Theory Y. How does the nature of job situation affect the application of these theories? [20]

Q6. "Organisation development is a planned process of change in an organisation's culture through the utilisation of behavioural science, technology, research and theory". Discuss. [20]

Q7. Enumerate Likert's four system of leadership. Which one of these, do you consider, the best leadership style? [20]

Q8. What are the various dysfunctional aspects of organisational conflict? Discuss the measures to avoid and minimise such conflict. [20]

Q9. Discuss the significance and principles of team-building. What factors would you take into account for measuring the performance of the team? [20]

Q10. Write notes on the following:
(a) Transactional analysis in Communication.
(b) Management of change. [10,10]
