Manali is one of the Hot Spots for tourists in Himachal Pradesh. Tourists not only from India but also from abroad visit this place. This is one othe favourite destinations for tourists.

Location

Manali is located at an elevation of 1829 meters on the northern end of Kullu.

View

Manali is blessed with rivers specially the Beas. Almost whole of the area is surrounded by rivers. The view down the valley is very charming. There are snow clad mountains everywhere. The mountains here look like they are touching the sky. Manali looks likes a holy place. Pir Panjal range of Himalayas is also visible from Manali. The view is very fascinating. The place is blessed with temples also. The place is provides peace of mind.

Manali is providing great atmosphere not only to nature lovers but also to adventure lovers. There are many adventure sports opportunities in and around Manali. Manali is one of the most favourite places for trekkers. The are numerous trekking destinations in Manali. Rohtang Pass and Chander Taal in Manali are the popular trekking destinations for trekkers.

History

As per the beliefs Rishi Ved Vyas wrote an epic named Mahabharata at the source of the river beas with the help of Lord Ganesha and the river Beas originates from Manali itsef.
Manali is the gate way to the town of valleys that is Lahul Spiti.

Manali is a famous tourist spot. There are many busses plying to Manali from Delhi, Chandigarh, Shimla and some all major cities. Volvo and A/C busses are available for Manali. The nearest airport is at Bhuntar in Kullu.

Manali is filled with hotels and cottages. There is a wide range of hotels to choose from. Visitors can board the hotel as per their requirements. The hotels are economic and affordable.
