History of HPU

HPU is also known as Himachal Pradesh University. It was established in 22 july 1970. It is a very well known university of India. It provides various degrees to its students. Many other colleges are affilated to this university. It is the education hub of Himachal Pradesh.

Location of Himachal Pradesh University

It is located in the capital city of Himachal Pradesh. It is situated at Summer Hills place of Himachal Pradesh. It is situated around 5 km away from Shimla.

Campus of Himachal Pradesh University

It has a well established Campus at Summer Hills place of Shimla. Its campus is spread about 200 acres area. There are various buildings of various departments in the campus. There is a very large library in the campus. Every department in the university has its own library which covers almost all the required books.

Vice Chancellor and Affilation of Himachal Spadesh University

Proff. Sunil gupta is the vice chancellor of HPU and it is affilated to UGC. Almost all the colleges of Himachal Pradesh are affilated to HPU.
