Himachal Education College is the famous college of Education in Himachal.

Introduction

The institution started its first academic batch from the session 1999-2000. The instution is being run under the direct control of Himachal Education Promotion Society which is a registered society. The college has made noteworthy input in providing trained and well qualified teachers to the state as well as to the country from past ten years.

Recognition

The institution of Education is recognised by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) Northern Regional Committee situated at Jaipur.

Affiliation

The College is affiliated to Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla popularly known as HPU Shimla.

Course Offered

The course offered by the college is B.Ed. which is one of the most sought courses among others.

Eligibility Criterion

The candidate should be a graduate in any stream i.e. Arts, Science or Commerce with minimum 50% marks to pursue B.Ed. in the related discipline. There is also an exemption of 5% marks for SC/ST candidates.

Selection

Selection to the course depends upon the merit of the Entrance Test for B.Ed. conducted by the Himachal Pradesh University year after year. The university may exempt the clause of the Entrance Test.
