The college is the prestigious Engineering College of Himachal offering Engineering Degrees through Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla.

Introduction

The college was established in the year 2003. The college is the first institution to get ISO 9001:2000 certifications in the State. GHEC is located in Gandhigram near Kamarhatti in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh. The college is equidistant from Shimla as well Chandigarh and the distance is about 62kms. The college is self financed, private engineering college. The college is being run by Green Hills College Society which is a registered Society.

The College is affiliated to Himachal Pradesh University Summer Hill, Shimla.

The courses being offered by the college are approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.

Eligibility

Candidates should have passed 10+2 in science subjects (PCM) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate. Candidates who have passed Diploma in any branch of Engineering with minimum 60% marks from Himachal Pradesh Board of Technical Education or any recognised institutions in India are eligible to take admission in 2nd year of Engineering.

Admission Procedure

Enrolment is granted on the merit obtained by the candidates in AIEEE through counselling which is conducted by the Director of Technical Education, Himachal Pradesh.
