National Institute of Technology (NIT) Hamirpur was established in the 1986 as a Regional Engineering College with the joint efforts of Himachal government and Government of India. NIT Hamirpur is offering undergraduate, post graduate and doctoral degrees in the field of engineering and also graduate degrees in architecture and masters degree in management and computer application. All the courses are being run under the guidelines of Government of India. The institute is a Deemed University now.
The institute is offering world class facilities and infrastructure for the students of the institution.

Eligibility

Applicants should have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Admission Procedure

Admissions are conducted on the basis of All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE).

Eligibility

Candidates should possess a Bachelors degree in Engineering / AMIE in appropriate discipline or a Masters degree in appropriate discipline with 60% marks in aggregate.

Admission Procedure

Candidates having valid GATE scores are given preference for admission to the M Tech course. Other suitable candidate can apply under the sponsored categories having at least two years of working experience in the respective field. However the sponsored candidates are not granted any monetary support from the College.

MBA
The college offers Masters degree in Business Administration.

Eligibility

The applicant must possess a Bachelor degree in Engineering/ Technology / Architecture or MCA with CGPI of 6.75 on 10 point scale or equivalent or 60% marks in aggregate wherever marks are awarded.

Admission Procedure

The admission to MBA programme is done on the basis of merit of written test of eligible candidates.

Doctorate programme

Eligibility

For admission in PhD (Engineering) an applicant should have a Masters degree in Engineering / Technology with minimum 60% marks. Applicants with a Bachelor degree in Engineering or Master Degree in Applied Science or any suitable discipline with a minimum of 75% marks and sufficient experience and publications may also be considered.

For PhD (Humanities & Social Sciences) the candidate needs a Master degree in applicable subject with 60% marks. Bachelors degrees in Engineering with a minimum of 75% marks are also eligible.

For PhD (Applied Sciences) a Master degree in the relevant Science subject with 60% marks is essential. Applicant with Bachelor degree in Engineering or in an allied field with a minimum of 75% marks and ample experience and publications are also considered.
