      Sirmaur



      Sirmaur is one of the twelve district of Himachal Pradesh. It has beautiful green forests and valleys like Choordhar peak. Its headquater is Nahan.

      Places to visit in Sirmaur


      Nahan
      Nahan is a very famous city of Sirmaur and is the headquater of Sirmaur. It was founded by Raja Karna Prakash. It was his capital city.
      Jaganath Temple
      Jaganath temple is a very famous temple of Sirmaur and was built by Raja Budh Prakash. It is known for the annual celebration of Payam Dawadshi.
      Shivalik Fossil Park Suketi
      It is situated 21 km away from Nahan. It is famous for the Museum which contains a large collection of antique fossils, jewelleries, household things etc.
      Trilokpur
      It is a very famous area of Himachal Pradesh and is very famous for Bala Sundri Temple. A fair is held in this temple twice every year. It was founded by Raja Dip Prakash. It is situated at a distance of 23 km from Nahan.
      Dhaula Kuan
      It is 20 km away from Nahan and is very famous for mangoes.
      Giri nagar
      Giri nagar is situated at a distance of 27 km from Nahan and is famous for the Power house at Giri river.


      How to reach Sirmaur


      Through air
      Nearest airport to Sirmaur is at Jubbarhatti which is 140 km away from Nahan.
      Through rail
      Sirmaur is easily accessible through trains. Nearest railway line is at Barog which is 42 km from Nahan.
      Through roads
      Sirmaur is easily accessible from all the major parts of Himachal Pradesh through roads. It is 75 km away from Shimla and it is 87 km away from Chandigarh.
