Introduction



Chamunda Devi Temple is situated in Kangra district HP.This temple is dedicated to devi Chamunda,the Goddess of Shakti.In the temple Lord Shiva is presented in the form of destruction & death.



History



The Chamunda Devi temple had been built 700 years ago.In this temple goddess Chamunda covered in a red cloth.At the back of the temple there is cave like scoop.And the either side of the deity Lord Hanuman and Bhairo image are found.


Location



It is situated ten kms west of Palampur in Himachal Pradesh.It is near river Baner and is besides the lofty Dhauldhar ranges.

Chamunda Devi Temple is covered by highly ranges.In the season of winter there view is very beautiful to see.Whether is so cold and climate is too good.


Famous For



Just beside the temple there is a Sanskrit college,an Ayurvedic dispensary and a library.The college holds classes on Vedas and Puranas.

By Road
The temple can reached easily by hiring taxis from Dharamshala or Palampur.Even state transport buses are also get the passengers easily.
By Train
Through the Rail passengers reach there very easily.The nearest Rail head is situated at Jogindernagar.
By Air
Gaggal Airport in Kangra valley is the nearest airport.
