Tourist spot Naina Devi Ji Temple

Naina Devi Ji Temple is situated in Bilaspur district.It is situated at the top of the hills.

Introduction

Shri Naina Devi temple is situated in Bilaspur district.It is one of the 51(Shakti Pithas).It is about 70kms from Bilaspur.

History

This temple was built by Raja Bir Chand in the 8th century.Top of this temple the triangular hillockit commands a grand view of the holy Anandpur Sahib Gurudwara on the one side Gobind Sagar lake is situated.

Location

This temple is 70 kms away fom the Bilaspur and about 150 kms from Shimla.It is situated at the top of hills and covered by devdar or oaks trees.

Altitude

This temple altitude is 1215 m above the sea level.

Famous For

One of the eyes of Sati was believed to have been drroped at this place,earning it the name of Naina Devi Ji. Recently temple is connected with rope way.

Access

By Road
Through the road passangers reach there very easily with hire the taxis,own car or buses.
