Famous Personalty and Freedom Fighters of Kangra

1) Jagat singh pathania:-
Jagat singh pathania was the powerful king of Nurpur.

2) Maharaja Sansaar Chand:-
Maharaja Sansaar Chand was the powerful king of kangra. Maharaja Sansaar Chand also gives freedom to kangra from Mugal Kingdom.

3) Ram Singh:-
Ram singh belong from Nurpur. Ram singh was the son of Shyam Singh Pathania, who was the Vajir of nurpur kingdom. Ram singh was a great freedom fighter of India who had been sent to prison in Rangun Jail where he died.

4) Baba Kashi Ram (1882-1943):-
Baba Kashi Ram was a great freedom fighter of India. Baba Kashi Ram was born in Dehra-Gopipur on 11 July 1882. Baba Kashi Ram was also called "Pahaadhi Gandhi", that name was gived by Pandit Jawahar Lal Nahru.

5) Chandardhar Sharma Gulari:-
Chandardhar Sharma Gulari was born in Haripur Gulario on 7 july 1883. Chandardhar Sharma Gulari was a famous story writer.

6) Shobha Singh (1901-1989):-
Shobha Singh was born in Gurdaspur on 26 November 1901. Shobha Singh was a famous painter.

7) Mehar Chand Mahaajan:-
Mehar Chand Mahaajan was born in Nagrota Bagwa on 23 December 1889. Mehar Chand Mahaajan was the Judge in High Court.

8) Bakshi Partap Singh:-
Bakshi Partap Singh was born in Chadhiyaar on 20 October 1912. Bakshi Partap Singh had joined the "Ajaad Hind Foaj"in 1942. Bakshi Partap Singh was M.L.A. of Palampur on 1952.

9) Dr. G. S. Bedi:-
Dr. G. S. Bedi was the first Agriculture Engineer in the world who was from Palampur.

10) Major Somenath Sharma:-
Major Somenath Sharma was born on 3 December 1923. Major Somenath Sharma was first Indian to be awarded with "Paramveer Chakra".
