It is actually a fabulous medieval building which is built of stone with rough edges.
The interesting tourist bungalow near the castle is precariously perched over steep drop and commands a splendid view of the entire valley.

Naggar is also famous for its flower garden which symbolizes the art of famous painter Prof. Nicholas Roerich. The picturesque views of the works of the Himalayan peaks in the colours of sky with blue, pink and orange create a very pleasant atmosphere.

Naggar has some old temples scattered about its slopes. The 11th century sandstone Gaurishankar temple in Naggar is located near the market while the Chaturbhuj temple in Naggar to Vishnu is near the castle. Higher up the hill is the Tripura Sundari temple built in the Himachal style with a multi-level roof. It is a very nice place. One must come here to experience the real beauty of Himachal Pradesh.
