Khajjiar is very famous tourist destination in Chamba district. It is designated as Mini Switzerland of India by Mr. Willy t. Blazer, Vice Counselor and Head of Chancery of Switzerland on 07-07-1992

Khajjiar is a small plateau with a small stream-fed lake in the middle of the plateau. Khazziar is about 6500 ft. (1981m) above sea level

Location: It is 23kms from Dalhousie by road. The road on both sides from Dalhousie to Khajjiar is covered with trees of Deodar, which makes the drive through this road very attractive and enjoyful.

Where to Stay: There are many hotels in Khajjiar. Also there are two rest houses one each of P.W.D. and Himachal Forest Department.

How to reach: The convinient way to reach Khajjiar is by taxi / cab.State run Himachal Road Transport Corporation also ply buses from time to time. However bus service to and from Khajjiar is limited and timings change according to local demands.Taxi / cabs are easily available from Dalhousie.

Best Time to visit: April to October
