As you know that economy of Himachal Pradesh is based on horticulture industry so there is wide scope in this field. you can go through entress test to take admission at Dr YS Parmar UHF Nauni, Solan for graduation and interview for postgraduation. Admission are open go and grab your opertunity. In the University you can choose either horticulture or forestry during graduation. However, in postgraduation there are various departments which you can choose for specialization. Basic sciences like microbiology and biotechnology is on hot side for those who came from pure sciences. But other students also take addmission in other departments also like silviculture, floriculture, plant pathology, entomolgy, fruit science and scoil science etc. the syllabus of forestry is best one and provides a good oppertunity for those students who wants to clear IFS. Most of students of this University is clearing the test. On the other side with the change in name of Postharvest Technolgy to Food sciece and technology created a good compitition for admission in this department. Best of luck.
