Himachal Government expands Sahyog scheme

Himachal Pradesh cabinet held a meeting to decide the future of Sahyog scheme in Himachal Pradesh. Now many persons will have confusion that what is the meaning of Sahyog scheme? So Sahyog scheme is an Integrated Scheme for Persons with Disabilities. In Hindi Sahyog means Help so under this scheme Physical challenged persons are helped by Government. Government helps Physically challenged persons by providing many facilities like- facilities of scholarships, vocational training etc. Government also provides money for marriages of physically challenged persons. So this is the meaning of Sahyog scheme in Himachal Pradesh.

Expanded form of Sahyog scheme in Himachal Pradesh

Under the expanded form of this scheme, scholarship amount is increased to in the range between Rs 350 and Rs 750 per month and for boarders scholarship amount is increased to Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,000 per month. The money Government provides for marriage of disabled persons is also increased and from now onwards if some person make his/her marriage with physically disabled person (with 40 to 74 percent disability) then spouse will be given Rs. 15,000 instead of Rs. 8,000. And for disability more than 75 person spouse will get Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 25,000.
